Historical Information
Winding Creek Elementary School in Moore, Oklahoma was opened in 1978. Some say this land was a sunflower field before Winding Creek was built.The SW 400 building was added in 1982, the SE 500 building was added in 1986, our media center was built in 2001, the gym/music building was added in 2003, and our safe room/kinder building was added for the 2016-2017 school year. Winding Creek currently serves approximately 680 students in grades K-6, with a dedicated faculty/staff of 70. Our school colors are blue and silver. We are located on the west side of Buck Thomas Park.
